“Value for money but only if you are not expecting a more relaxed and private experience”
Staff were helpful and polite. The buffet had a good variety and quality of food. Drinks, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic, flowed freely, along with gelato and snacks. The hotel sits opposite a mountain with great forest views and is within walking distance of the Daisetsuzan Sounkyo Kurodake Ropeway. There is ample parking, but a valet is needed to take you to your car because the lot is further away from the hotel. The guest room was sizeable. Constant smoke and cigarette odor filled the lobby and our room; when we checked in the lobby was saturated with fireplace smoke, which was terrible. A lot of tourists rushed to grab all the crab legs at the buffet, making for a frenzied dining experience when I expected something more relaxed. The open onsen on level 5 could be seen from our top‑floor room windows, so male guests had little privacy. The women's changing room at the onsen on level 5 lacked drinking water and was not well equipped.
