The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable, and the rooms were clean. Parking was too tight, the beds were a bit hard, and to watch TV you had to log in to stream every day.

People were nice. The hotel is very overpriced for an outdated 2‑3 star property, and downtown Van Wert feels depressing, with about 40‑50 % of the area vacant.

The staff at the hotel's office seemed friendly and welcoming, which was a positive note. However, I was not impressed with the hotel's location, which appeared to be in an area with a lot of trucking and animal hauling activity. This made for a less-than-ideal stay.

I was somewhat impressed with the hotel's updated TV and the appearance of the exterior, as well as the water pressure in the shower. However, my room was dirty and the sheets were stained, which was a major letdown. I took it upon myself to clean the room and even bought my own supplies to make the stay more bearable. While it's clear that the hotel is trying to renovate, there were still many issues that needed to be addressed.
