The spot is perfect, just a stone’s throw from Porta Blu. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful and tasty. I’d booked dinner with the owner for the first night and it turned out to be the best chicken Tajín I’ve had on the whole trip. My husband was very kind, patient, and even helped us with a half‑day city tour, showing us a lot about FES history. On the last day we had to leave at 07.40, so they told us it was too early for them and we missed breakfast; the rooms weren’t cleaned that morning either.

“Due notti a Fes”

It’s a family‑run guesthouse in a great spot, right in the Medina’s heart and a short walk from Porta Blu, making it easy to hit the main sights. The rooms aren’t huge, but the place has everything you need for a comfy stay. We stayed on the top floor, which was quiet and peaceful, though a bit spartan, yet more than enough for two nights. The terrace is nice with a good view, though it could use a bit more polish. The real star is the owner, who is very friendly, caring, and helpful. Every morning she cooked fresh, delicious breakfasts, showing great care for guests. One small note: she only speaks French, so communication might be tricky for non‑French speakers. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a simple, characteristic place in a prime spot for exploring Fes. The only downside is that the payment policy isn’t clear on the site – you have to pay in cash only, which would be useful to know beforehand. Still, given the price, the quality and abundance of breakfast, this doesn’t hurt the overall rating, and we recommend it for those seeking a straightforward, authentic stay in a strategic location.

“Riad accogliente nella medina”

The managers were very friendly and welcoming, from breakfast to city tips and recommendations for things to try or visit. The location is very strategic inside the medina, close to one of the main gates. The room was very hot and the fan didn’t work well. The bathroom was clean but not well maintained.

When we arrived, the riad manager gave us a map to navigate Fès. The first morning he left us takeaway breakfast. The riad was clean, had a rooftop, air‑conditioning, and the beds were comfortable. The woman who cleaned our room was very sweet and hospitable. On top of that, the manager booked us a tour to Chefchaouen, which we liked. We came by the riad shuttle, and the driver tried to charge us more than agreed, claiming a mistake in the amount, and the manager swapped a banknote for another, taking advantage of our unfamiliarity with the currency while I was looking for dirhams to pay him. He also arrived with an unrequested guide for Fès, pressuring us into accepting his service and using a bit of psychological intimidation. On the last day he promised breakfast like the first day, but it didn’t happen, and he didn’t show up at the agreed checkout time, forcing us to bother other guests to hand over the keys.
