It’s just so relaxing – I’ve come for the Highland Games for the third year with our dog Nellie, and they were very accommodating. Thanks for the sea view – I’m returning for four nights next year (already booked), and I’ve got some 15+ friends from Hemel Hempstead coming, so it’s going to be a lot of fun 😁 The food in the bar is fabulous too 😋 I can’t honestly fault anything.

The hotel looked gorgeous and the grounds were kept in immaculate condition, with a spectacular view overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, I booked three nights and found no hot water—just lukewarm, not enough for a shower. I was told to let the water run for a while, which I did, but nothing changed. I reported the issue and expected a maintenance person to arrive, yet it was never resolved.

The breakfast selection was good, and the room and view were great. The external area outside my room needed better maintenance, e.g., weeding and removal of trash thrown out of the window by previous guests; this should be part of the inspection. The building needs a bit of TLC.

The location and view were fine. Parking wasn’t great. Rooms were too cold. There was no power in the shower. I got bites on my feet and legs and my partner. Some dog biscuits were under furniture. Wallpaper was hanging off due to damp air.

The room was beautifully clean with a stunning bathroom and great views. The lounge was large and inviting, perfect for chatting. The staff were excellent and friendly, and there were no complaints.
