Beautiful location 15 minutes from Westendorf, which you already know when booking; friendly staff who really want you to enjoy yourself; in short, a wonderful hotel in a lovely spot.

Beautiful, clean, super friendly welcome; wonderful location, but in winter it was difficult for us ladies to drive there alone, though a taxi worked fine; excellent breakfast, staff were super friendly, and the food was great.

The breakfast was quite good; next time I’ll come as a single person for a hike in late May or early June 2026. I’ll stay 5 or 6 nights in Westendorf after the dinner at the Grillstuberl, where there is no dinner on Wednesdays in the accommodation. We turned the room into a game night with Kniffel and the like. We left Freiburg im Breisgau at 9.00‑9.30 am, drove through Villingen Schwenningen to Stuttgart for 2.5‑3 hours with heavy traffic from construction, so we only arrived at the accommodation at 18.30 am. The 5‑hour drive from Freiburg to Westendorf took 9.5 hours; we wanted to be there between 14‑15 am, but traffic prevented it.
