Brownsover Hall Hotel, located just 5 minutes' drive from junction 1 of the M6, is a Grade II listed Victorian Gothic mansion set amidst 7 acres of woodland and gardens. This magnificent building boasts a dramatic interior with a sweeping staircase and crackling log fires, complemented by the Scotts Brasserie and Frank's bar, creating a unique and charming atmosphere.

How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The food was excellent, the staff were delightful and efficient, and the hotel itself was lovely. From the bedroom you could see the top of the marquee, and the regular dinner menu was not available on Sunday nights. The roast beef, fish and chips, and burger didn’t match the standard of the sea bass and other dishes, but overall the food was very tasty.

Booked for a last minute bit of R&R, Brownsover Hall could not have been better. A small issue with the wrong room was quickly and cheerfully resolved (and can happen when you're booking 3rd party!). There are so many cosy seating areas dotted throughout the building and outside too, as well as in the bedroom, and the place was beautifully decorated. Evening meal (seabass) was fantastic and the free drinks on arrival were a wonderfully inviting touch. 100% would love to return!. As another reviewer noted, the eggs at breakfast were not great, but everything else was good. Honourable mention to the nice thick bacon

Breakfast was superb—freshly cooked and of a high standard—and the coffee was excellent, which is unusual for hotels anywhere. However, no bitter or ale was sold, not even in bottles, and the hotel feels very old‑fashioned English; a local beer would be appreciated.
