Focus Kuramae

“Nice location, friendly staff, pleasant stay.”

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the spot was close to the metro and many coffee shops for breakfast; rooms and bathrooms were clean. The room was small, had no closet or hanging space, so everything had to stay in your bag on the floor.

“Ottimo !!”

The people, staff and overall vibe were positive, but some services were lacking; for instance, there was no ironing board, and if ironing is offered it should be fully equipped.

“Great base to explore Tokyo”

The spot in Kuramae was really good – an interesting area without the crowds and hectic pace of other Tokyo parts. It was close to Kuramae station and you could walk about 30 minutes to Asakusa and Ueno, and from Kuramae you could catch a train straight to Narita airport. The staff were chill and friendly; I appreciated the warm smiles and spot recommendations, though I don’t know their names. The downstairs common area had a small but well‑equipped kitchen, and the overall vibe was relaxed. The room was smaller than I expected but still manageable for a solo traveler. For the price and location, that’s the only major tradeoff I see. I wish the AC was less dusty and the room had better sound insulation; earplugs help if you don’t want noise from other guests.

The place was stylish and friendly, but the room lacked a mirror and there were few shower rooms.

“コマネチ！”

I liked that the no‑shoes area was clearly separated. I stayed in a dormitory and the person next to me often coughed and vomited in the room (probably in a bag), which was noisy, so I told the front desk and they immediately switched my room, which was great. Cleanliness is very important for a hotel; when you focus on it, guests naturally come. I got the impression this hotel has a good sense of cleanliness. Komanetchi! The shower pressure was weak, so it took time to shower; it should be a bit stronger.
