It was in a lovely location on the river. Close to Bentota. The staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The pool was very nice and the staff were very attentive

Sammy the Manager was incredibly helpful, and the rest of the staff was lovely too. Breakfast was excellent. The building feels a bit dated, but that’s not the staff’s fault.

It felt like a home away from home, with a fully equipped kitchen, great staff, a backwater view from the balcony, tasty breakfast, and a complimentary ferry to the beach. The huge swimming pools were a bonus. The only downside was the lack of an elevator.

Breakfast was good, but I expected a hotel and ended up in apartments—fancy ones with built‑in equipment where you can cook. The staff was helpful in getting basics, yet this isn’t a serviced apartment—shampoo and soap were missing. It should be clear that it’s an apartment space, not a hotel. We arrived late and had to scramble to find water, soaps, tea bags, etc. The rooms were huge and could fit 6 people, but the booking only allowed 2, so we had to pay extra for the extra guests. Card payment wasn’t available, so the staff directed us to a nearby store to pay, though they initially asked for an additional fee.
