“You are here. נקודה”
I arrived with a friend to the guest house in Odem and the first thing we noticed was how clean and organized the place was; every corner had meaning, there were wise sayings and amazing wall paintings. The entire space was designed and built by skilled hands that want to give guests a sense of being seen and embraced. There’s a living room, a library, and a pleasant courtyard to sit under a canopy. Some rooms are suited for groups, others for couples. Trust is the foundation, so after the welcome no one stands over you and every guest is in control of themselves. The kitchen in the guest house is huge, stocked with all the utensils, and if guests like us come prepared with food items it’s a real pleasure to cook and then eat together. Cleanliness and order are also the guests’ responsibility, which we appreciated as a great privilege granted by such trust. Between the dining area and the rooms there’s a shared wardrobe where you can buy clothes left by other travelers for 10 shekels per item. Because it rained and we weren’t prepared, we bought long pants which really saved us. We left with our hearts wide and expanding from the wonderful hospitality experience. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Ya'ed and Adi. Everything we didn’t like we told Ya'ed and Adi directly, who were very kind.
