“Good”
Finding the hotel was easy, but the pool was cold.
“Overbooked”
We enjoyed Netflix, breakfast, and a comfortable queen bed, but the hotel didn’t accept our booking because of a system failure and our reserved Deluxe Queen Studio with 2 queen beds, a living room, and a pool view was unavailable; we were given a room in the backyard, far from the pool and amid ongoing construction, with only one queen bed and two single beds that were too small and hard, the room had been unused for a long time with thick dust under the beds and on the cabinet, and we had to buy a mosquito spray at a nearby 7‑Eleven.
“Convenient to stay away from home.”
I ate a decent breakfast and slept in a spotless room with comfy beds; the kitchen let us cook our own meals and we had a hot‑and‑cold water dispenser. The place feels like a home away from home, and I’d definitely return. All the basics—toilet paper, soap, shampoo, dish soap, even a toothbrush and toothpaste—were supplied, and the water heater worked well. The bathrooms were spotless, the Wi‑Fi was reliable, and the staff were superbly friendly; Jean was especially helpful and courteous, making our stay smooth. I also met the owner, John Davidson, who was very welcoming. On the downside, the door key can be tricky to remove after locking, so a tap card would be nicer. The beach isn’t in the backyard—it’s a 20‑minute drive, but that’s fine because there are two swimming pools to enjoy.
“But overall we enjoy our stay”
The staff were peaceful and friendly, but the hotel was far from the beach.
The hotel is pet friendly and the room was beautiful and clean.
