“A peaceful, spacious and spotless place to stay, with wonderful hosts”
My husband and I adored the place and its hosts, Seneka and his wife, who were always attentive and ready to help, giving useful tips and support. The house was spacious and impeccably clean, and from our balcony we could hear birds and spot monkeys and other wildlife. Our room was generous in size, and we also liked lounging on the comfy sofas in the large open-plan lounge. Every morning the hosts made a delightful breakfast of our choice, and later we could sip fresh coconut from the fruit stall next to the house. The property sits just around the corner from the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue, and the town is a downhill walk or a short tuk‑tuk ride away. We appreciated the peace and quiet, especially since we stayed out of season and had the whole house to ourselves, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Nothing to complain about—everything was exceptional!
