The Schmausemühle is right on the Saar‑Hunsrück‑Steig… perfect if you’re doing that hike. We had a very sweet room, the food, even for vegetarians, was great, and the staff was extremely friendly.

Super beautiful location. Very peaceful, no phone reception but good Wi‑Fi. Breakfast was good, especially the cherry jam that we bought two jars of on the spot. The bed was small (I’m 1.88 m, we had the double‑deluxe room) and the sheets, blankets and pillows were synthetic.
