“Возможно в другом номере все лучше, но basement точно не советую”
The hotel has a great spot near all the attractions. That’s the only plus. I didn’t notice when booking that my room was on the basement level, which turned out to be the worst experience. The window is under the ceiling and at foot‑level outside, so if someone smokes nearby the smoke drifts straight into the room. An open window doesn’t help ventilate, and a closed one is even worse. The room is constantly damp, the cleanliness is questionable, everything looks tired and poorly cleaned.
“Adequate.”
I booked a double but was initially given a single room; I had to persuade the staff to move me to the room I actually paid for. The room was dark but otherwise acceptable, and the location is very central and close to everything.
“Très bien situé pour visiter Istanbul”
The hotel sits in a central spot, just 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque and a tram stop. My room was spotless and the price was very reasonable. However, the stairs are quite steep, likely impossible for someone with a disability, and there is no elevator.
The staff were friendly, especially Bora Fantastic, and the rooms are safe and essential. The price‑to‑offer balance is good. Generally, some improvements or maintenance are needed; the steps to the upstairs are very tight, and the breakfast is served in an underground room.
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the location is literally steps away—right behind the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace—so everything is within reach, including rooftops that offer a 360° view of Istanbul. I would recommend it without hesitation.
