“Overpriced for what it is, but a beautiful setting.”

The amenities were great, the pool, yoga deck. Staff was very kind. Scenery was beautiful. For the price, there was no sort of room service, you'd have to walk to the office if you needed anything for your room (toilet paper, towels etc). With the AC runnings the rooms were full of moisture, the bed sheets literally felt wet which was super uncomfortable for sleeping, and very soft beds as well which I don't prefer. No mini fridge in the room either. The pool bar prices for a drink were very expensive as well. Getting up to the yoga deck was pretty steep, not meant for anyone with physical limitations (which luckily I do not have). The price included breakfast on booking which callicoon said was wrong, I never got refunded for those breakfasts I paid for, and breakfast for 2 at the resort was $75

Not much! Actually… nothing I can think of, sorry. I feel like the original posting was highly misleading. I did not realize this was a $250 glamping exercise, not what we would have to hike to a flimsy hut with no ventilation and 80 yards from a communal (and unclean) bathroom!

“We will absolutely be coming back.”

The staff were amazing—kind, welcoming, and genuinely eager to have us there. With few guests that evening, they upgraded us and let us pick any available room at no extra cost. Who does that anymore? Callicoon does, and it was a real breath of fresh air.

“A great concept let down by poor execution.”

The beds were comfy and the Malin + Goetz toiletries were top quality, and the family‑friendly vibe was clear. The spot itself is great, and the free s’mores were a nice touch. Still, the reality fell short of the online image: the rooms felt underwhelming for the price, maintenance was lacking, the pool was dirty and poorly maintained, and dinner service was chaotic and badly organized. These little issues piled up and made the stay feel overpriced compared to the boutique image the hotel promotes.
