Very quiet.

The spot and the terrace were fantastic, everything was clean and the hotel felt pleasant and quiet; however, I never managed to reach the front desk because the property uses a diffuse‑room system, and after more than a day of being told my pillow would be swapped, I realized I was only dealing with a completely useless virtual assistant, leaving me with huge, hard pillows that couldn’t be changed—a real disappointment. My friend and I also noticed that one bathroom wall looked like paper.

After a friendly welcome I reached my room by lift; the room and bathroom were clean and well set up. The Asterisk Hotel is centrally located, quiet, and well connected to public transport (the M52 from Centraal Station to Vijzelgracht is a few minutes). I’ll come back.

The staff were friendly once you started chatting. The lounge and dining area were great, so you could grab a meal and eat in. The Little honesty bar was a winner after a long day. However, there was no air‑con for the unseasonally hot weather and no fridge in the room.
