The spot is great, Marco was super helpful and the room was comfy.
The location is perfect for exploring the old town, the facilities are really good and beautifully set up. The kitchen was usable. Breakfast included a voucher for the local bakery where the croissant was delicious. The bed sagged a little in the middle.
“Passable Unterkunft in verfallener Umgebung”
“Soggiorno tuttosommato piacevole in un ambiente caratteristico e simpatico. Stanze un po' spartane.”
The B&b La Nassa feels like a cute, detailed place, welcoming. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor—actually the first floor of the building—facing a street parallel to the long sea, very quiet, with a nice view of Mare Piccolo. The house also has a roof terrace, reachable by a spiral staircase, available to guests, with chairs, a table, and a spectacular view of Mare Piccolo and part of the old town, giving a glimpse of the city’s harsh reality with its decaying, semi‑destroyed, evocative buildings. All other rooms are only reachable by a fairly narrow spiral staircase. On the ground floor there’s a fully equipped kitchen, excluding burners, with dishes, a fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine, and tea, pods, etc. The ambience is really nice with two armchairs, a TV, books and games for guests. There’s also a good croissant for breakfast at a nearby bar. The bedroom has a window, a small balcony to hang clothes, and a sea view. Air conditioning and TV work fine. All rooms are clean. The host is very helpful, kind, and communicative. Overall we were happy. The old town centre is a minute away via a staircase behind the B&b. The bed isn’t very comfortable, the room is a bit bare‑bones even if charming, unfortunately the bathroom often has a bad sewage smell despite the ventilation fan, and the sink is a bit small and inconvenient for washing. The bathroom is otherwise complete with shower and bidet but a bit bare‑bones even if clean.
“Una notte per un concerto”
The property is a few minutes from the station, in the old town, just steps from the magnificent Duomo. I didn’t find any water in the fridge (shared with all users).
