We paid for the place, arrived, and discovered it was under renovation and not available for rent; we received no email or message. The arrival day was full of surprises as we had to find another hotel at 9 pm.

The only positive was that someone reached out to me via WhatsApp when I couldn't open the room door. Apart from having to walk past a prison to get there, the house looked like an abandoned ruin with OSB boards in the windows. I circled the building, convinced it was a construction site, and only one door had a light on. Inside, there was no one, just a bare space, steep stairs, and banging noises from some rooms. On the landing, a tiny open toilet had a broken window. It felt like a house of horrors. I paid for a room with a private bathroom, but there was none. After contacting the accommodation, they refused to refund my money, and the booking site did the same, offering only about £12. I had to book another (much more expensive) place last minute, and even polite requests didn't help. The accommodation has not responded and remains silent. This is unacceptable, and I do not recommend it under any circumstances.

Two days before departure, we learned the central heating was not working, and after reading all the reviews, I called the hotel. They confirmed they could not guarantee central heating in London in January. I cancelled through a booking agent, who promised a refund that never materialised. The booking corporation’s service was terrible, and the hotel experience was horrible. I am very disappointed overall.

We couldn’t get in at all; it was a scam. We had to find another place and never got a single euro back. It was horrible.
