Taypikala Lago Hotel features Colonial-style galleries, a spacious lobby with interior plants, polished parquet floors, and elegant cream-coloured sofas. How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The rooms were decent and the suites very pleasant, the double beds were small yet comfortable, and we enjoyed a lovely lake view plus oxygen available for guests. However, the corridors were noisy and the hotel’s remote location forced us to dine on‑site, where we suffered a food‑borne illness that required a doctor’s attention.

We had a pleasant stay. The hotel arranged a taxi for us quickly at a good price and answered questions promptly. The room was nice, tidy and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the view was very beautiful. Room service was good and the food tasty. The breakfast buffet was good, though the selection was somewhat limited. Unfortunately, some facilities were unavailable during our stay. We couldn’t use the pool or the jacuzzi. We also found it disappointing that the shop had no clear opening hours, so it was unclear when it was open. The breakfast buffet was good but the same each day; more variety would have made the stay even better.

The staff had no record of our reservation when we arrived. The on‑site restaurant was very expensive for the quality. The pool was cold and tiny. We expected to use the jacuzzi and sauna, but to our surprise everything was extra and required a prior reservation so they could warm them up, which was a big disappointment.
