The staff were friendly and the breakfast was tasty, yet the carpet in the main areas was awful, smelled bad, the main elevator was out of order so we had to use the service elevator, the fountain had to be removed, and the bathroom vent was clogged with dirt from 20 years of use; this old hotel probably looked beautiful when built but needs a major overhaul to become clean again.

Walking into the lobby felt really cool and we had a king bed, but the elevator was broken so we had to use a small service elevator at the back of the hotel, which made us vomit all down the hallway when we finally reached our floor; when I told staff they said they couldn't do anything until the morning, and it also took a long time for the AC to start working.
