The location was great, but that's about all I can say.
The private part of the houseboat was nicely laid out and completely separate from the rest.
The owners were super responsive and the place was fully equipped - nothing was missing.

The location was perfect for a quick night in Melun, and the place felt original and friendly.
“All aboard the barge! Loved our time here. Unique and comfortable.”
We had a wonderful experience on the Seine – we really enjoyed being on the water – so relaxing. We miss the barge! Everything was great.
For those who want to spend time in an atypical place away from traditional lodging, the Marquise is ideal. You’ll immerse yourself and imagine living the life of a boatman. It’s a good experience we don’t regret. Also worth noting the host’s hospitality. Make sure to get the small access video from the host before you arrive, otherwise GPS will make you think it’s gone… For older people a bit of flexibility is needed to move between levels.
“Sejour atypique”
A unique adventure sleeping on a barge. Very good welcome and the access description was top! Small but well arranged; you really can’t be tall or bulky because the shower is small. We liked the air conditioning and preferred sleeping in the sofa bed to stay cooler. There were many sewer smells when on the deck, which is a shame because it’s a calm and restful place. A slightly larger table would help. Breakfast was fine, but lunch or dinner was a bit tight; we had to put plates on the floor.
