“Schönes Plätzchen zum verweilen”
The room was very nice, the air‑conditioning worked well, and the kitchen area was very practical. Two dogs were always happy to greet visitors. We liked it so much we extended our stay from 3 to 9 nights. A warm shower would have been nice, but after 4 weeks in Sri Lanka we were used to not having one :) The accommodation is a bit further in, about a 20‑minute walk to the beach, but we knew that beforehand. If you have a scooter license, you should rent a scooter.
“fijn verblijf”
The room was very nice, and we appreciated having a small kitchen and a fridge in it; the bathroom looked good and the bed slept well. Dana was also very kind and helpful. The location was quite remote, and it was a bit hard to find the room when we arrived on the first day.
“Can definitely recommend. One of the best value for quality in the area. Scooter recommended.”
It’s a lovely place to stay for a night or longer, and the hosts are super friendly and welcoming. You can really settle in here because there’s plenty of space (living room) and a shared kitchen with another room. The property is about 3 scooter minutes from the center of Ahangama, so you’ll need a scooter or be willing to walk a bit each time. But you’re in the jungle, so it’s very green and quieter than the road in the center. There are two rooms, one with AC and one without – mine didn’t have AC. It’s probably one of the best value-for-quality places around Ahangama, being very spacious, clean, and even comes with a nice dog.
“Sehr angenehm.”
I stayed in a beautifully decorated room in a quiet area, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The beach was a bit farther away, but that didn’t bother us because there were lovely and tasty restaurants along the way.
“loving it!”
This hidden spot is so cosy and the hosts are lovely. Every morning you hear birds and monkeys – if you’re after peace of mind, this is the place.
