Downtown Lisbon Suites by Hosty

Good location, about 200 m from the Martim Moniz metro station. It’s easy to get to the accommodation from the airport. We walked everywhere from the place. If you’re used to walking, this is a good spot. From here Rossio is just under 8 min on foot, 15 min to Placa do Comercio. The accommodation has everything you need to cook simple meals. Coffee, tea, sugar, and a bottle of wine are a nice welcome gesture. The door has a safety lock. The host is very service-oriented. The area is at the foot of Alfama, with many cozy restaurants, cafés, and viewpoints nearby, and it’s also close to São Jorge Castle. If you don’t want to walk, you have access to tram 28 and 12 from Martim Moniz. The downside was that we didn’t want to open the window or blinds; the room’s location directly facing the street didn’t encourage us to open it. We were there only to sleep and shower, and if we had spent more time there it would have felt closed off.

The location was good, the room was good, access was good. Friendly staff. However, by the end there was no toilet paper left. When it rained, water seeped into the living room and bathroom. The sink was far too small.

We stayed 4 days, and in the room they left only a pair of towels per person; we asked for an extra change, but it never arrived.

“they should redesign the room space and bathroom”

The rooms were indeed very small but clean and newly renovated. The bathroom design was too narrow for bathing, with no proper fittings and even the soap bottle fell onto my foot, cutting my nerve and causing excessive bleeding. There was no emergency kit or ambulance, an extremely miserable situation; thank God I’m still alive despite losing too much blood. The room size, bathroom, lack of staff, lack of first‑aid kit, and absence of emergency support were all major negatives.

The room was huge. The room was never cleaned during the entire stay, and it was a bit expensive for that. Everything else was very good.
