The size was impressive, the balcony was excellent and having two bathrooms gave us complete privacy, but we had to lug our luggage up a lot of stairs and the parking spot was far away from the unit.

The location was superb, close to Maluaka and Makena Beach, and the apartment was pleasant and spacious enough for four, with nearby golf courses. Arriving the day after Hurricane Lala, we wished we could have accessed our room earlier because the side of the island we’d been on had no electricity and we needed a shower and a bit of comfort; the receptionist greeted us very poorly, irritated that we arrived during the previous guests’ checkout, and we ended up waiting 16 hours for the key (which was actually the time they had indicated). A little understanding and a smile after a tough night would have meant a lot, as we really felt we were being a nuisance.
