The heated pool was nice, yet the overall cleanliness of the rooms was lacking, a snail was found in the salad, and the room was noisy—probably the water tank’s pump. The old, dirty, and loud air‑conditioner, a hard mattress that felt like a board, and damp pillows were all problems. We asked for a bed change and it was swapped after we complained, but the noise and dirt remained.

The food was just okay, and the pools were spacious with plenty of loungers and sunshades. There was a kiddie pool that was a bit small but still usable. Among the hotel activities were a farm, horseback rides and quad tours, and the farm animals seemed well cared for. The gym looked like the only place that had been kept up‑to‑date, with clean, working equipment. For leisure they offered sand‑volleyball courts and a football field. The whole place feels stuck in the 1930s – everything looks old and neglected, with décor that looks like relics rather than restored pieces, showing a lack of investment in upkeep. The bathroom ceiling was black with mould, the room furniture was worn and in need of repair, and the restaurant furniture suffered the same fate; chairs were soft and sank under you, and the tables were covered only with a plastic sheet that had holes and tears. Service at the restaurant was slow and often didn’t restock, so dishes ran out and nobody refilled them; I was hoping for Minas cuisine but only got a single regional dish on the final day. Ongoing construction left building materials scattered around the parking area – not a problem in itself, but with many guests and children it should have been cordoned off. The heated pool was tiny and, on the day I used it, the water was cold. That pool area was also chaotic, with a stray pool cover lying in the walkway, a “decorative” old bed in a corner, and loungers that sank, just like the restaurant chairs. The playground only had a few aging toys: two slides, one swing (another broken and left untouched), a seesaw and a climbing structure.

The hospitality, the food, the entertainment activities for both adults and children, and the beautiful setting were all excellent, but I couldn’t stay longer.

The stay was very good, the staff were excellent, the food was great, and we’ll definitely return more often.
