The place is cheap and in a good spot, but the sheets were stained, the bathroom had mold, and a strong bad odor hit you as soon as you stepped into the room. There was no ice machine or coffee pot in the room, and the cleaning staff couldn’t communicate because they didn’t speak English. I booked a handicapped‑accessible room and didn’t get one, making it hard to move around.

It was inexpensive, but there was no breakfast. The lobby doors were filthy, hinting at the shabby interior. Water pressure was low and the bathroom sockets didn’t work. I had to turn off the refrigerator because it was so noisy, and the fan was faulty—definitely a worn‑out motel.

I’ve reviewed this place many times before because we stay here often, and it’s a decent spot for an overnight stay whenever we visit Pittsburgh. Check my earlier reviews for details. The only issue was that the coffeemaker in the room still had a used coffee pouch inside, so it hadn’t been cleaned properly; this happened to us twice.

The price wasn’t bad, and the lobby looked like a nice hotel. However, the rooms were outdated and hadn’t been cleaned all week, with no new towels or anything.

We didn’t get to enjoy anything. When we arrived, the power and television were out. After the staff checked the room, they kindly gave us a new one. We unpacked, turned on the air conditioning, and went out for the evening. When we came back, 2 inches of water covered the floor from the air conditioning. The staff handed us a mop and a bucket—unacceptable, since we’re janitors and don’t want to clean on vacation. Red Roof staff didn’t like our frustration and kicked us out, saying “leave or we’ll call the cops.” It was 2 am and we had nowhere to go. They promised a refund for the money we’d paid months ago, but never processed it. We ended up paying for two hotel stays and are NOT HAPPY.
