The location is in town but back from the street so as to be quiet. Very accommodating hosts, and the facilities were excellent, particularly the bed was very comfortable. All good

We adored The Manse—Michael and Shelley made us feel right at home in such a cosy setting, and we even met some of the lovely other guests.

Sally and Michael welcomed us warmly, served a cold continental breakfast, and were always ready to chat and give great local tips without intruding. The stay felt extremely homey and was close to the main amenities like the local pub and food works; a beautiful little find, a true home away from home. I was initially concerned about the lack of locks on the bedroom doors, but after the first night the place felt safe and comfortable enough that the worry vanished.

The place was super cosy and had that old‑world charm that made us feel right at home. The heating was solid for the cold winter nights and the bathrooms were fresh and clean, so we slept well. The drive over Mt Hotham was a treat, and the hosts were friendly and helpful, but the town itself is so quiet that some might find it a bit too still.

What really stood out was how unique the place felt – it wasn't your typical hotel. The bathroom, however, was a bit tight and made us feel cramped. Overall, the quirky vibe was worth it, but the small bathroom might be a deal‑breaker for some.
