Located in central Ballina, the Ballina Homestead Motel features a tropical courtyard with a swimming pool and outdoor entertaining area, complete with BBQ facilities. I was happy to find the hotel right on foot from the Cherry Street Sports Club, and the downstairs café served a tasty breakfast. The room was roomy enough for three adults.

Clean and comfortable, with a handy on‑site café, and a short walk to Main Street.

The room was clean, spacious and tidy; the bed was comfortable and the temperature was good. The bathroom was tight but had everything needed, and the room was noted as very clean. Tea, coffee and nice biscuits were provided. The pillows felt a bit lumpy.

Spotlessly clean, with very welcoming staff and owners. It’s very close to the town centre, offers good parking, and is a nice place to walk our pooch after a day of travelling. The on‑premises café is fabulous, and we’ll definitely add it to our list of places to stay on northern trips.
