“Friendly staff, great location, but the value isn't there.”
Location is perfect; within walking distance to a great coffee shop and the rooftop patio is lovely, and the staff—front desk to the rooftop bar—are fantastic. Yet there are many dislikes that surprised me. The room was nice and the bed comfortable, but the window view was filthy. The AC worked, yet it did little against humidity, leaving the room damp. The rooftop, while spectacular, is only open after 3 or 4 p.m.; there is no other pleasant spot to sit during the day. Parking was a hassle: the garage filled up with conference attendees, forcing us to park down the street, and the spots are so tiny that a truck or larger vehicle would need more than one space. A $15 per day food and drink credit was supposed to be included with my reservation, but no one seemed to know about it. Finally, there is a resort fee, called a destination fee, that was never disclosed until arrival. This place isn’t a resort and lacks resort amenities, so the fee felt like a nickel‑and‑dime tactic that was obnoxious. Overall, it wasn’t good value and I wouldn’t stay again.
