Everything was great, nothing to complain about.

The only good thing was the central location. Everything else was terrible. I booked a stay at Residenza Antica Roma and was led to believe the room was much bigger than it actually was; in reality it was absolutely tiny. When I raised my concerns with the owner, his response was shockingly unprofessional: he said that because I was paying less than at other hotels, I should just be happy with the room, and he continued to gaslight me about the "great deal" I was supposedly getting. My rate during the stay was still over $250 a night—not exactly cheap. The property severely lacks basic maintenance. The Wi‑Fi barely worked in the room; I couldn’t connect easily, and when it did it would disconnect right away; I had to stand in the public hallway just to get a strong enough signal. The shower water temperature was never consistent; one slight adjustment would swing it from ice cold to scalding hot. It felt like the hotel was deferring any real updates and justifying the neglect with the rates it charges. A slightly lower price tag does not excuse false advertising, horrible customer service, and broken amenities. I would never stay there again.

The staff were friendly, but the window was broken, breakfast didn’t start until 8 am, the beds were very soft, the shower splashed everywhere, the tea cups were dirty, there wasn’t enough milk, and the carpets were filthy.

The property is in a good spot, but the shower pressure was either scaldingly hot or freezing cold.

The location is superb, just a 5‑10‑minute walk from Plaza España and the luxury shopping street, right on the main road, so it feels very safe; there are restaurants and an ice‑cream shop nearby, windows let in fresh air, the bathroom has a wet‑dry separation, there’s an elevator (a bit small), and the door‑control makes it secure at night. The check‑out time was a bit early—11 pm—but after talking with the front desk they let us stay until 12 am, thanks to the staff!
