Hotel Del Borgo

The location near the train station, the welcoming staff, and the very good breakfast. The sound insulation of the rooms was lacking.

The operators of Hotel del Borgo, a couple, are very friendly and helpful. They gladly give information on sights and restaurants, and when I asked for a shop to buy an SD card, they immediately named one that was also cheap. Breakfast was plentiful enough for me; with the small portions I could almost try everything, though maybe a bit more cheese would have helped. The hosts don’t speak German but speak good English. I had no trouble with the often mentioned access road to the hotel, and I’m used to driving in Italy, just eyes closed and go 😀. The Italians brake early 😀. Nothing else, everything fine.

The room was spacious and quiet, and we could use the garden too. The house is only a few minutes from the train station, but the suburb has very few restaurants. The breakfast was poor; the food wasn’t fresh and the fruit was sometimes moldy. When we asked for a second coffee, the staff only obliged reluctantly.

“Un lugar hermoso y tranquilo, un poco lejano”

The gardens were nice, and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious, plus there was parking. The power and internet cut out twice, and there was no toaster at breakfast.
