The place was cozy and the staff were very kind, especially for pet owners because they offered a litter box with litter and plates on request. The laundry downstairs was really good. Even though the staff didn’t speak much English, they were sweet and used Google Translate to communicate. I only wish they had cleaned under the beds; my cat kept running under the bed, came out dusty, and spread it all over the room and bed 😅😅.

They provided everything for the cat and helped lift the suitcases. However, you pay for a luxury room and end up with a dark room without a window. It’s dirty, full of cobwebs that fall on your head, and there’s no sound insulation, so you hear everything, especially when locals play their prayer music at 4 am.

The reception was run by children who don’t speak English. Water works were being fixed during our one‑night stay, and we weren’t informed, so we had no water for shower, toilet, or tap. When I mentioned it, we were given a bucket of water. The bedding smelled bad and didn’t look washed, and there were stains on the floor.

The internet was very good, the bed was comfortable, they had a litter box and food bowls ready for my cat, the air‑con worked well, and the TV worked well. The staff can’t speak English, which is odd for a tourism job. I wanted to check in at 12, but they said the room wasn’t ready and told me to come back at 2 PM. I returned at 2 PM, checked in, and found dust, hair, a stinky towel from the previous guest, no fresh towel, empty soap, and no toilet paper. I wondered what they did for two hours. After check‑in, I requested an extra towel via the app, but they didn’t reply for three days until just before I checked out. I had arranged a late check‑out for a fee well in advance, but on the day the staff didn’t know about it and tried to tell me I could only stay until 2 PM when I had arranged until 4 PM. I had to have a long conversation via Google Translator, which was a hassle. In the end they let me stay until 4 PM, but I had to switch rooms, which was painful. The previous guest had smoked there. There were no windows, making it very depressing. The place was loud, and the staff yelled at each other up and down the hall, which was annoying. The area has no charm; Jakarta seemed to want to be like KL but ended up like New Delhi. The Eisei laundry team dried my clothes even after I told them three times “wash only” in Bahasa Indonesia. I had to ask for the Wi‑Fi password instead of being given it with the other information for my stay. Overall, the kid at the front desk needs some training.
