“IL PARADISO DELLA TOSCANA.”
We spent five unforgettable days that we wished would never end, staying in an exclusive cottage just steps from the owners’ villa; despite the proximity, privacy was never compromised, actually the opposite, and we felt right at home with the hosts appearing only when needed. The cottage was spacious, equipped with a full kitchen and barbecue, and every detail was meticulously attended to, from flawless cleanliness to thoughtful touches. Outside, a private garden offered a covered dining area under a gazebo, lounge chairs and a little table with a sofa perfect for aperitifs, while the pool overlooked the vineyards and the Parco della Maremma, keeping us there all day without wanting to go elsewhere. Teresa and Stuart welcomed us with a bottle of their own red wine and a small jar of their olive oil for cooking, a modest gesture that summed up their exceptional hospitality. Each morning they prepared lavish breakfasts using produce they grew on the estate—truly farm‑to‑table, not just a slogan—and we even took home three litres of their extra‑virgin oil. A special shout‑out goes to Dante and Luna, their adorable dogs, who stole our hearts. Coming from Rome in search of quiet, we found exactly that: a rejuvenating spot where time really slows down. We had booked four nights, but after the guests after us cancelled, we added an extra night without a second thought because we simply didn’t want to leave. Ten out of ten, and we’ll definitely return.
