We chose this property because it’s close to the university, making it easier to attend the graduation we wanted to see. The property itself was fine, but we had told them we’d arrive at 3 pm and actually got there around 16:30, only to find the house wasn’t ready for us; after a long journey and jet‑lag we just wanted to rest.

The location was quiet and convenient for Uber to Warwick University, but outside the compound it was pretty bad, with many drug addicts and drunk people in the children’s playground that we often had to avoid in the late afternoon. The apartment layout should have been good, but it was poorly maintained—shelves, tables, lamps were falling here and there. The TV had Netflix, there was an iron, a Nespresso machine, a big fridge and a nice terrace. The property was worn out and no one seemed to take proper care of it; it was terribly dirty and we couldn’t even clean it because nothing was available. We complained and only got a vacuum cleaner on day 3 of a five‑day stay. Towels were one each for bath and one for everyone to dry hands/face, the same for feet; after requesting more, we were refused and had to order them on Amazon and wash them ourselves. The oven was broken and there were many items scattered around the house. Cutlery was missing, and the kitchen looked like it was filled with unwanted staff leftovers. We were also misled about the checkout time—online the agency said 11 am but it was actually 10 am—so we were charged extra for two extra hours instead of one. Staying those two extra hours was a huge hassle; my kid was sick and I couldn’t leave earlier because we needed to catch a train, so I had to fight and beg the staff to allow us those two hours. The shower had unmanageable hot water, which we had to fix ourselves as service never came. It was such a terrible experience, especially with a two‑year‑old baby. I do not recommend it to anyone.

The location was within walking distance of everything we needed, the house was very cosy, and the décor was nicely done.
