The interior was spacious and the parking lot was large; the dog run was roomy, set in nature, shaded and comfortable. However, there were no bath towels, the entrance stairs were old with some wooden parts missing, the bathroom washing area lacked a faucet, and although a futon was supplied it was a winter‑type one, so a thinner option would have been preferable.

Parking right next to the cottage made loading luggage with the dog easy, the cottage itself was roomy and, despite its age, kept clean; the pet‑friendly supplies like a sheet and wet wipes were also appreciated. The only odd thing was that, although most tableware was there, there were no chopsticks, and I ended up using a fork instead of checking with the front desk.

The location and overall setting were good, just a 10‑minute drive to shops and restaurants, and the place was quiet and calm in the forest. It was good value for money. The house and its facilities feel old and dated, and it could have been cleaner. You have to make your own beds, which is fine, but the wardrobes you pull out are dusty and not very clean.
The layout inside the room was very practical and made the space feel cozy. The room was clean, but being tucked in the woods seemed to keep the air damp, and the Japanese‑style room gave off a slight musty smell.
