I liked the room in the Hanok village, famous for its Joseon dynasty houses. The location isn’t the most central but offers more tranquility. I would improve it by including a typical European breakfast and, especially, a laundry service with larger shower towels.

Sleeping in a traditional house is an experience to have, even though at first I was a bit scared of sleeping on a futon; I slept like a baby ☺️

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the location was prime, and the value for money was great. Free water, a fridge, and a microwave were available, and the authentic hanok experience was beautiful. The house itself was lovely, though it wasn’t very soundproof.

The property is on the outskirts, so it’s quieter than the hanok village. The cleaning is thorough and the rooms stay warm even in winter, though the ginseng tea can be a bit hot. Parking is available in front of the house, and on rainy days the view from the room is pretty. The room isn’t soundproof, so you’ll need to pick a quiet neighbor; if you’re lucky, you could get a good night’s sleep.
