The owners were very friendly. Fresh milk for tea and coffee in our rooms was appreciated. We had a lovely hot breakfast cooked to order. The rooms were spacious. We liked the quirky décor, especially the old finger plates on the doors, although some might find it a little old‑fashioned.

It’s the only accommodation in Four Crosses and the surrounding area, so it’s essential if you’re stopping by on the Offa’s Dyke path. The rooms are simple but the hosts are very nice and even cook for you. I’m very happy, and I hope they keep it up for a long time!

Breakfast was solid and the staff were very friendly, but the beds felt a little too soft and had a noticeable dip in the middle.

The evening meal was very good, prepared for us after our late arrival, with several local inns a short drive away. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of fresh and cooked food, great value especially if booked in advance. The location on the old main road was quite quiet at night since the village now has a bypass, making it a suitable stop‑over. The combined guest lounge and dining area was bright but a little soulless. The single beds were quite comfortable, but the duvets were too hot for the summer, and opening the window could be dangerous for small children.
