Wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt im Whistlewood Guesthouse und das von der 1. Minute an! Jane und ihr Mann sind sehr nett und gastfreundlich. Man sieht, dass Jane sehr viel Herz in das Haus und die Ausstattung gesteckt hat! Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, mit Blick für Details. Wenn es im Zimmer zu kühl ist, steht sogar ein Gasofen zum heizen bereit. Das Frühstück zum selber zusammenstellen war bisher das beste der Rundreise! Direkt gegenüber ist ein gutes Grillrestaurant und die Lage in Walmer erschien uns sicher und gut. Nachdem mein Koffer erst 5 Stunden später mit dem letzten Flugzeug ankam, war Whistlewood der perfekte Ort, um ein bisschen zu entspannen! Vielen Dank nochmal!.

I stayed at this B&B a short distance from the airport in a safe, quiet residential area of Port Elizabeth; the rooms were very well furnished and comfortable, and the owner was extremely helpful. The breakfast area is shared, which works nicely because the whole place only has six beds and feels very manageable and family‑like. The tidy garden with its exotic plants and the lovely pool invite you to relax.

We only spent one night while passing through, yet Jane took care of us warmly, showing us everything and explaining it all. Our flight was delayed, but that was no problem for her. Even before we arrived, the communication was very positive and helpful. She waited for other guests whose flights were even more delayed, and she even recommended a restaurant right across the street. For breakfast, everything was available in the kitchen, so after a restful night and a hearty breakfast we could start our Garden Route road trip relaxed.
