“Frumos”

It’s situated in a good spot, fenced off from the large road, yet just a few minutes from the beach. For those wondering, it doesn’t show up on maps, but you can walk along the train track to reach Tineretului. A 1–2 minute walk brings you to a 24‑hour shop. The premises are clean, nicely furnished, and the balcony is spacious. Plenty of room to park your car in the courtyard. The owner is very sweet. The curtains were so dark that daytime sleepers had trouble sleeping. For those heading to Nibiru/Beach Please, the walk is about 20–30 minutes. The balconies are close together, separated by a small “bar.”

From the outside it looked fine and the courtyard was nice, which was the only thing that earned it a 2/10 instead of a 1/10. The owner who greeted us was a bit rough. I told him I had 3 rooms out of 10 and wanted to park my car in the courtyard, which was one of the main reasons I chose this place (parking). He said “we’ll see tomorrow if anyone leaves” and I had to leave the car on the street, next to the curb. The rooms were low and poorly ventilated. You couldn’t open the windows because they faced the interior, not the outside. I’ve never experienced this before. If you wanted to open the window, everyone coming down the stairs would stare at you in bed and hear everything in the room. The walls were cardboard, and you could hear every step. The towel rack in the bathroom was moldy, made of wood. The bathroom had no window and a very poor ventilation system.
