I was really pleased with my stay; the property was spotless, cozy, and well kept, and the room felt snug while the location was peaceful and lovely. I had no complaints at all and truly enjoyed my time here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have already booked another visit. The property is a stunning Victorian house full of character and many original features. Dermot and Katie are a lovely couple, very friendly and welcoming—nothing is too much trouble for their guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. While some facilities may not suit everyone (shared bathroom, continental breakfast), I think Alma House offers fantastic value for money and would recommend it to anyone looking for a central hub to explore Newbury and the surrounding area. The weather could have been a little more clement!

This is the best B & B I've stayed in during my six weeks in the UK. The hosts were fantastic, super friendly, and incredibly helpful; I felt like a welcomed family member in their home. The room was lovely, the bathrooms excellent, and the garden was a great spot for reading. The location was perfect for everything I wanted to do in Newbury, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
