The plumbing was old, the air conditioner didn't work, and the hair straightener was unusable.

It was the best hotel in the whole world; the staff were kind, accommodating, patient, friendly, and welcoming! They were very respectful, the facilities were sanitary and elegant, and every amenity—including drinks, coffee, tea, and daily room cleaning—was provided without us having to ask, even if we forgot to give the clean/amenities sheet to the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel for the best stay in Tokyo. It’s quiet, the walls are insulated, smoking is allowed by request, and the jet bath was irresistible. We’ll always book Hotel C. Kohoku for any future trip to Japan!

The hotel was falsely advertised and didn’t say it was an “adult hotel” or “sex hotel.” When my partner and I arrived, we felt very uncomfortable in the room; it seemed dirty and had a strange odor. We checked out immediately and couldn’t get a refund because it was within 24 hours.
