We booked a bungalow, and the privacy felt amazing—staying in a cabin yet still part of a resort and having access to all the facilities was exactly what we wanted. The bathroom, however, wasn’t properly cleaned each time the staff came; they’d replace everything but left the floor with occasional beach rocks and shower grime, which isn’t a huge deal but is something you’d expect them to tidy.

The location is great. The staff are not very friendly, and everything—parking, lounge chairs, etc.—has to be paid for as an extra.

The staff were wonderful and treated my mom and me like family, even during the power outage they stayed upbeat and cheerful despite being overworked. The resort’s setting on Kaanapali beach is stunning, and our balcony view was incredible, letting us watch the sunsets right from our room. We did wish there was room service and a jacuzzi or hot tub.
