“Incredible meals included our stay. Beautiful mountain location.”

The dinner and breakfast that were included were absolutely fantastic. Bother meals were so carefully prepared, featured a lot of local produce and were delicious. The room and onsen were very comfortable, the location beautiful and the staff very friendly. It exceeded our expectations and was great value for money

The room was very attractive, traditional in style with large windows and every comfort, the staff were extremely kind and the breakfast—a typical Japanese set—was delicious and top‑quality. The inn sits right by the road, but at night traffic was virtually nonexistent, making it very quiet, and I could park my motorcycle right next to the window.

“Très très bien”

We were greeted warmly and the hostess even drove us into the village to spare us a one‑hour walk along the road, then gave clear directions for the buses. Both dinner and breakfast were very tasty and generous, and the futon was comfortable as well. The room featured a small sitting area with a table and armchair, which we loved, and the location was convenient between the two little villages.

This was an amazing Ryokan to stay in after our visit to the nearby villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. It is a small place with only a few rooms but the facilities were great. Our family room for 3 of us was spacious, and the beds and especially the bedding were extremely comfortable. They provided a yukata (kimono), obi (belt), and haori (jacket) for us to wear around the ryokan and for dinner. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were amazing. Delicious local Japanese cuisine, including mountain vegetables and local grilled skewered river trout. They have a small onsen (separate men and women), which was very relaxing. Bathrooms are communal, but toilets were in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Nothing! Everything was wonderful

“Heel speciale plek in ultieme Japanse stijl”

The accommodation is truly unique, fully Japanese in style, with futon beds, a low table and an onsen. Since there were no restaurants nearby we opted for dinner and breakfast on site, enjoying an extraordinary meal that included seven dishes: rice, sashimi, vegetable tempura, a tofu stew and even beer! The food, however, isn’t to everyone’s taste, especially if you don’t like fish.
