The place is spot on! The staff are the best—Ariel and his crew, plus Ailu and Nico, are super friendly. We had good chats, great mates, and a solid community vibe. The only downside was my stay was short.

Tenerife Art Hostel was exactly what I wanted when I booked. At first I wondered if the many notices would make it feel too strict, but the staff turned out to be incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the notices actually helped create a respectful, quiet, and pleasant environment for everyone. The hostel was quiet, beautifully decorated, in a lovely old building, very clean, and the amenities were good. The roof terrace was a great spot to relax, eat, work, and socialize. The terrace and kitchen close at the end of the evening to avoid late‑night disturbance. One night I was there when the terrace closed; the gentleman who closed it apologized and politely told us that the space was closing, almost as if he felt guilty. Guests vary, but the clientele I met were friendly, worldly, and respectful. Even though my stay was only four nights and I didn’t plan to do many activities, I ended up going out for food and drinks twice with other guests and spent a lot more time chatting on the terrace than I had intended. I left with six different people’s numbers and plan to meet them again during the rest of my island stay, and I’ll likely book more time at the hostel when I want to return to the main city area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Overall, the place was great. I’ve stayed in many hostels across the UK and the Canaries, and this one stands out as one of the best. The location is incredibly convenient, easy and fairly quick to get to from the south airport. The only things I can think of to improve are small suggestions: an oven would be a great addition to the kitchen, and adding holders for the shower heads would be nice so you don’t have to hold it while showering. These aren’t criticisms, just ideas to enhance an already good setup.

The spot’s location is fine, but they have a bed bug problem. I arrived around 22:00, woke up at 23:00, and found a bite. There was no one to talk to since everything was online, so I tried to sort it out and sleep but couldn’t. Another guy who’d been there seven days mentioned that the owners knew about it, had checked, and were applying cream for the bites. In the end I slept in the nearby park with another Dutch guy under my bunk. You can’t keep booking knowing the problem.
