“Moyen”
I chose this hotel mainly for its pool, but when I arrived at 18.30 it was already closed, even though the official closing time is 20:00. On the bright side, the location is easy to reach and the bed was comfortable.
The place was great and everything worked out perfectly.
“Prix intéressant mais ....”
The breakfast was decent, nothing special but free, and the hotel itself was very quiet with adequate bedding. Two restaurants are within a 5‑10 minute walk, offering good value, and you can chat with the owner or staff there. The bus stop is just a minute’s walk away, and a supermarket sits across the street. The reception was awful and the staff were not pleasant at all. Only a young woman I saw at breakfast was friendly and said hello, and a cleaning lady greeted us faster than the front desk staff. We were ignored several times, never asked how our stay was going—basic courtesy that matters in a hotel. Even when we returned the key on the last day, the service was lacking. The hotel claims to be 12 km from Athens city centre, which should be quick, but in reality it’s about 50 minutes to the first interesting stop for sightseeing.
“Well looked after, lovely atmosphere, loved the pool! wouldn’t hesitate to come back.”
The pool and bar made for an awesome day with a lively vibe, tasty food, and spotless surroundings; I especially enjoyed the communal lounge and conservatory, and the staff were warm and helpful, while housekeeping kept the rooms in top shape. The overall setting was clean, calm, and relaxing. However, a few bathroom fixtures need attention: the shower head was clogged with limescale and only produced a few jets of water, the sink’s plug couldn’t be removed and required a reception call, and there was no way to clear it so I never refilled the sink again. Also, tea and coffee were never replenished in the room despite the otherwise excellent housekeeping.
The hotel was conveniently located where I needed to be, with friendly and helpful staff, a nice pool at the back, and a coffee bar. There were no major complaints; being in a city, a few minor negatives were expected. It wasn’t noisy or overly busy, and the parking was small but sufficient for my stay.
