“整體感不錯,但每天回去要耗體力爬坡累”
There’s enough space, but the uphill walk is exhausting.

The environment is quiet, and the host is very friendly with smooth English communication. Walking to the station takes 10‑15 minutes, but the house’s sound insulation is poor—footsteps and door slams can wake you up.

The place is in a residential area, staying in the owner’s upstairs home. The layout is a traditional Japanese house with three rooms, one split into two beds. The bathroom, living room and kitchen are shared with other guests, so you can chat with them – a fun experience. The owner is very friendly and even offered to drive me to the accommodation. The surrounding scenery is pleasant, and walking to the station each day is a good mood‑booster, plus you can find some hidden little shops. If you’re okay with a short walk from the station and want to experience authentic Japanese life, I highly recommend it – and the price is very cheap! I came to watch a volleyball match, and during that time, accommodation in the city centre of Ogaki was sky‑high, whereas here a single room cost under a thousand yen per night, which was really affordable. The cleanliness was only passable, the room and AC had a slight mildew smell, so it’s not for neat freaks. The area is all residential, no shops, and the convenience store is about a 15‑20 minute walk; the streets nearby are empty and a bit dark at night, so solo travellers who come back late should think it over. I stayed three nights, the first two with roommates, but on the last night I was the only guest in the entire inn, which was a bit scary 😳 – those who are timid might want to ask the owner beforehand.

The staff were kind and made me feel safe staying here. The free bicycle rental was very useful. Thank you.
