The scenery and nature were perfect for a quiet stay, yet the site is very remote. Traveling with one child and no car left us at the mercy of the campsite, which charged relatively high fees just to get to the town 4 km away. On top of that, there was no information about alternative options, and we had to ask villagers for help. That major drawback made us cut our visit short.

The only plus was the location, but the welcome was terrible—never a smile or a kind word. The manager and her brother were unfriendly, gave me coffee alone without a meal, and forgot basics like butter, jam, or sugar for breakfast. They never spoke, the reception was awful, and cleaning never happened; there were cockroaches. I have four photos to prove it.

The place sits by the river next to the village, and the hosts are truly lovely—thanks to Lazare, Jacques André, and Marie, who treated us to delicious food. You can see the river, swim in it, walk along at low tide, and spot birds in the lagoon while canoeing. The 180‑degree view of the surrounding bush from the big farmhouse is stunning, and you can also see all the free‑roaming animals and make great encounters. The only downside is that the Wi‑Fi doesn’t work very well.

The place is peaceful, very well located with a magnificent view. The welcome was good, the meals were nice, very pleasant, and the room was spacious and clean.
