The Deluxe Double Room sleeps two and includes one extra‑large double bed, a sofa bed, and the option of an additional extra bed or a crib. A seating area provides a flat‑screen TV and a desk, while a private bathroom serves the room. The layout also features a sofa that can be used as a bed for extra guests.

The location is great – quiet, very clean, and the breakfast is excellent. The owners are very friendly, and it’s a great starting point for hikes. The parking situation isn’t entirely optimal.

The place is romantic and absolutely quiet on the banks of the Bode, with free parking on the opposite side of the river – you have to carry or roll your luggage about 100 m. Check‑in was smooth via a key safe, and the code and description of the safe’s location and the entrance were sent by email well in advance. The guest card needed for free bus rides and local discounts was also sent electronically. My room and bathroom with shower were very small but perfectly adequate; the room, bathroom, and toilet were very clean. Wi‑Fi worked without problems. In the hallway you can grab chilled drinks by writing your name on a list and paying at check‑out. From 4 pm to 8 pm the sauna on the ground floor is free. When only a few guests are around, breakfast is just a small buffet, including muesli. Each table gets a platter with sausage and cheese and a basket of various rolls. Egg dishes, coffee, tea, and special requests are ordered from the friendly staff. Overall, Bodeblick is recommended, and the value for money is right. It would have been nice to have extra towels in the relaxation room, but the large towel from the room was sufficient.
The website, brochure and notices said breakfast would be served every day, yet in reality it was only available on two of the four advertised days, which should have been clarified online; also, the issue I reported about the TV channels never got fixed throughout the week.
