The place was close to entertainment and facilities, but it was very noisy from 11 pm to sometimes 4 am with drinkers and teenagers. The charge for an entertainment pass was expensive; we weren’t given the choice to use facilities or pay separately. For instance, we wanted to go to the circus, which cost £15 each, but couldn’t do it unless we purchased the entertainment pass at £216, which was ridiculous because it would have cost nearly £300 just for the circus. The caravan was a bit grubby; a thorough clean and some maintenance would have helped.

The location was great and the caravan was clean.

The key safe, good location, good size bedrooms, shower, pet friendly and decking area were all positives. It could have been cleaner, pillow protectors on pillows would have been nice, no extra pillows were provided, and it would have been good to have at least a small amount of toilet roll to start off with.

Staying with my daughter and her two young children in a lovely spacious static “caravan” with a comfortable living room, shower room and reasonably well equipped kitchen was a treat. We had sea views and easy access to a sandy, “life-guarded” beach within walking distance. Three bedrooms with single beds instead of bunk beds and plenty of storage were appreciated. The master bedroom with a double bed and ensuite was particularly spacious and comfortable. On site, a large entertainment centre, swimming pool, and various outdoor activities and play parks meant all ages and interests were catered for. We were lucky to have a parking space next to the “van” and liked the surrounding verandah with a security gate, giving the children some freedom. We enjoyed taking the open‑top bus from the site to the sandy beach in Exmouth without the hassle of driving and parking the car. Exmouth offered many more activities, but we didn’t have enough time to explore everything. The evenings were a little noisy because we were close to the central entertainment hub, but it’s a very big family site, so it’s something you just have to get used to. It’s a little awkward when you are settling young children to sleep, but not something that would prevent us from returning. In fact, the atmosphere is buzzing and friendly. The narrowness of the single beds isn’t a problem, but I found the mattress thin and the springs uncomfortable to sleep on – the room we chose for the children had mattresses that seemed thicker and clearly weighed less than mine, and they were more comfortable!
