The staff was exceptional. We were on a top floor with no elevator and very steep stairs, but the owner took our bags to our room. The very steep stairs to our room were not suitable for everyone.

The historic hotel was warm and wonderful, just a walk from downtown shops, restaurants, and hiking trails, and the common areas were a highlight. The staff were fantastic. One downside was the stand‑alone AC unit that left one side of the bed chilly; it seems the best solution for a hot summer in a historic building. The bathroom could use a small update.

The area is beautiful and conveniently close to downtown, and the property is well maintained. Everything was wonderful.

The place feels very welcoming, is close to the town and easy to reach nearby attractions. The hosts and staff are extremely attentive, constantly offering surprises like s’mores around the fire pit or freshly baked cookies.
