The bathroom was great and spacious! The train runs right outside the window, and even though the Austrian rail is much quieter than the MÁV, you can't sleep next to it. So, absolutely avoid booking a room facing the street!

The staff were friendly and the suite felt like home, with a stylish luxury bathroom and a romantic garden right next to the historic city wall. From the second floor, you get a direct view of the Danube and the riverbank, and there's zero car noise. A real treat was the live classical music at breakfast, played from a genuine record player! The train in front of the window was shut down because of construction, which meant you missed the usual hourly chimes, at least during the day. The vegan options at the breakfast buffet were a bit limited.

The location is nice, the gardens are lovely, and the restaurant is wonderful, but the bed was uncomfortable, the mattress sagged, water leaked from the shower, and the doors didn’t close properly.

The spot was decent for biking, but the room felt old‑fashioned with almost no lighting, and the breakfast was probably the worst we’d had on the trip.
